CUSTOMIZED TRAINING

Even though the only thing two different dog trainers can agree on is that the third one is wrong, we all rely on a basic understanding of dog behavior. Every dog has a different temperament, meaning every dog needs to be trained in a different way. This is why it is necessary to evaluate every dog. The dog's temperament determines the steps I need to take to properly train your dog. There are different types of temperaments: responsive, shy, High-energy/Outgoing, calm, strong willed, and aggressive. In each of these temperaments there are numerous methods that will cause a dog to respond in a positive way. For instance, what you don't want to do is give a hard correction to a dog that has a shy temperament; this will overwhelm the dog in a negative way.

Puppy Management
The purpose of puppy management is to provide your dog with the opportunity to start off on the right path from the beginning. This training and its proper maintenance will help prevent many unwanted behaviors that could otherwise occur. Your dog will learn several commands such as heel, sit, down, and a "place" command. In addition to these formal commands, your puppy will be introduced to potty training, crate training, and other problem solving methods.

Private In-Home Training
Through In-Home Training, I will provide private lessons for the owner, instructing on proper techniques for your dog. An initial evaluation of your dog in his/her environment is required to determine appropriate training and number of sessions in order to meet your goals for your dog. Each session will consist of 30 minutes of trainer/dog time, in order to build the foundation, and will conclude with 30 minutes of owner/dog time, with trainer supervision. Through completion of In-Home Training, the relationship between you and your dog will be strengthened.

Board & Train
My most popular training option, Board & Train, provides the most extensive form of training there is to offer. In this program, your dog will come and stay with me and my family to be given training on a daily basis. Your dog will be surrounded by the country, yet close enough to the city to be able to work on public interaction and socialization at dog beaches, dog parks, Home Depot, Starbucks, etc. This daily attention will maximize the training ability of your dog. Because of the intensity and repetition of this program, your dog will be given a foundation that will never leave him, provided that proper maintenance is followed. For this reason, I guarantee the training of your dog for the duration is his/her life, through free unlimited owner/dog sessions as necessary to get your dog back on track. In addition, if your dog is four months or younger, the Puppy Management training is included free of charge. You will receive relief of both the time and stress of training your dog and be given a dog with a foundation that will last a lifetime.
